What are people saying about The Living Daylights?

“The Living Daylights performed for our major fundraiser, Curtain Up: A Taste of Playhouse, and they were fabulous!  Our guests (and our staff) danced their hearts out and had so much fun.  The selection and variety of songs, the taking of requests from the guests, the energy…everything about The Living Daylights worked so well for an event that had such a diverse group of people in attendance.  The mixing and playing with the guests and making the evening personal to each and every person was fantastic and very special.  The Living Daylights are not just a band that gets up onstage and plays, but rather a show that offers a real connection to the organization and the patrons in attendance.  From the moment we asked them to play to the packing up of their equipment after the show, the professionalism and their easy-going demeanor made the entire experience a joy.  Playhouse on the Square will definitely use The Living Daylights again and again and again…”~ Whitney Jo Playhouse on the Square, Managing Director

“The Living Daylights offer a superb blend of rhythmic Southern Rock, down home Country with a edge of gutsy Blues to provide a sound that will keep you moving all night long.” ~ Judith Parra Coyote Ugly, Memphis

“We’ve hired the Living Daylights Jazz/ Blues trio for multiple corporate events in the Memphis area, and each and every time they dazzle our clients! Their classical training, professional presentation and obvious raw talent make them a surefire hit at events ranging from rooftop receptions at The Peabody Hotel to riverboat cruises down the Mississippi. I will continue to book The Living Daylights regularly and with confidence, knowing they will live up to the high standards expected by our corporate clients.” ~ Alexis Amorose Destination King

“The Living Daylights” performed at DeSoto School’s 2009 Junior/Senior Prom in Helena, AR.  They were called on short notice and were very flexible with our plans.  For the past ten years our school has had a DJ for prom, but this year we decided to have a band.  And it turned out better than we ever expected…and we expected it to be good!  The music they played was fun to dance to  and the band interacted with the students as they played.  The band even played a song they had never performed before for one of student’s birthday!  Everyone had a great time!  We will definitely have them come to Helena again!
Our headmaster, Mr. E.G. Morris, said that in the 35 years that he’s been attending prom, either as a chaperon or as a band member, that this was the FIRST prom he truly enjoyed!” ~ Nancy Hornor Desoto Private School

“The Living Daylights are awesome… even my brother (who is not into music) was raving about how great your band is. Thanks so much for everything!” ~ Lindsey Wolfe Southern Bride Magazine

“You guys were awesome! The band was fabulous!” ~  Lynn Walker Trilogy Marketing

“Saw these guys at the Oakland Festival and their song selections from White Snake to Keith Urban kept me entertained and rockin all night. Awesome performers! Hope to see more of them soon.” ~ Dreama Everett Classic Party Rentals

“If you’re an 80’s freak like me you’ll love The Living Daylights. Memphis’ best kept secret for great 80’s music.”   ~ Jaime Newsom Social Butterflies

“No matter what kind of music you like, these guys are the perfect choice for your wedding… or any event. They were awesome!” ~ Angela Carey Memphisbuzz.com

“What better way to spend a beautiful fall evening than at Oakland in October with The Living Daylights? A band with rippin’ guitar riffs and vocals, from the sounds of yesterday’s Journey and Bryan Adams to today’s Nickleback and Daughtry–covering it all with great musical style, expertise, and showmanship. The band offered a great selection and variety of music, and had the audience singing along to all their favorites, past and present. The Living Daylights are a great choice for your next party or community festival. They closed out the 2008 Oakland in October Festival on a definite high note! Thanks, guys, you rock!”  ~ Robin Terry Executive Director Oakland Chamber of Commerce

“’The Living Daylights’ is not the high school prom band you think of when you hear the words “Cover Band”. These guys are all incredibly talented musicians individually, and have come together to create a powerhouse of a group that is sure to blow minds anywhere they play. Their playlist is a mile long and consists of nothing but crowd-pleasers in any genre of music, and they execute them all with precision. This band is TIGHT! They are also great about interacting with their audience and keeping the night fun and rockin’ – everyone is always singing along.  I’ve been trying think of a reason to create an event just so I can have them come play for us!” ~ Allison Merritt, Director of ProductionOpera Memphis

I’ve been in event planning for many years and have booked numerous bands for functions. The Living Daylights is one of the best bands I’ve ever booked. They can play anything and everything and no matter what type group they are entertaining there is something for everyone!

Known Donnie since high school, he could always play a guitar. Caught the show at The Juke Joint Saturday night. Really good show and the song list rocked. Was gonna go and request Big Log by Robert Plant, but never made it to the stage. Gonna bring Odis to catch the next show. See ya there Donnie.

I have known Donnie for quite a while now. By quite a while, I mean back when he was a young buck with long, flowing locks, rock and roll t-shirts, and a gleam in his eye. Not much has changed, well, except the hair of course! Some will say that makes me biased. I say, see for yourselves. You’re not going to “the bar” to see some guys “cover” some songs. you are going to be entertained. I’m not just talking about Donnie, I’m talking about each one of the guys. Each one is a talent, and they all contribute to the music and vocals. You will become part of the show, I assure you, they won’t allow you to sit and stare at your drink, they will pull you in. I have seen their song list grow. If you don’t care for the song they are playing now, you will still enjoy the show. Wait 5 minutes and I guarantee they will play one that you love. Keep up the awesome work fellas and keep bringing the new songs to the stage. cheers.

Ok, it is my turn to boast and rave about the band. What can I say, they are great!! I always have a blast when I go. I have taken friends to shows with me and they are now fans as well. I had the pleasure of spending my birthday at The Boiling Point recently, the band was great and they even made a point to sing happy birthday to me. I loved it… BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!! My favorite though, was a few days later at the same place when they did an accoustic set on the patio. The food was great, the staff was pleasant , the weather was beautiful and on top of it all there was great music. I really can not say enough great things about the personalities and talents of the guys … they make and effort! Thanks and can’t wait to see you all again soon.

We met Donnie and The Living Daylights at the Roadhouse last weekend 5/21/10. We had a blast listening to the GREAT music and dancing. The Band took all requests even if they didn’t know the song they sure gave it their best to satisfy the crowd. Their performance was exteremly entertaining as they involved the crowd as much as possible. If you haven’t gone to see them play, you are missing out on one of the BEST Bands EVER!! We hope to get them here to GA in September!! CAN’T WAIT!!!!

I got to see TLD at the Peabody last night and even though I only saw the last set, it was stellar. I cannot say enough about this band and their loyal fans. These are great people and I promise you will have a fantastic time if you come out to a show. Support TLD and one day when they make it really big (and they will) you will be able to say that you were a fan from the start! Mwahs to TLD and Kerry!
