Man, what a night. We start at 8:00 p.m. Kevin kits the back door around 7:56. We have a sub drummer and a NEW sub bassist… I was SUPA-stressin’. But…
It wound up being one of the best shows we’ve ever had at The Crossing. The crowd was so over-the-top it was astounding. There was some much energy in that room… I can’t wait to get the video uploaded. It should be here soon…

Huey’s Cordova 5/2/2010

Had a blast at our first Huey’s Cordova show. I didn’t realize how many of our “fans” and “friends” live out East. We’ll have to spend some more time out that way. Maybe we’ll get into the Saucer out there. I’m not sure how much of this made it to the video, but watch Jordan and his hat. He turned it every which way on his head during that show including upside down and inside out.
The sound was a little rough at first since we “forgot” to turn on the left main speaker cabinet. Thanks to Ted Strange from Snozberry for pointing that out. I worked for Ted at Guitar Center Memphis for quite a while. He and is beautiful bride Alicia made it out to the show. I have to go see them sometime soon. But it’s hard to see other bands when you work every weekend. Have to take some time off.
Also, you may notice that Dave Kropf has been missing from quite a few recent shows. No reason to fear. He has just been super busy with school and Drummertalk. You should check them both out… He’ll be out a bit for the summer with his travels as well. But Stan Smith is doing a spectacular job in his place and we are fortunate to have him.
Well, hope to see you guys out soon, we have a bunch of private performances coming up which may make that a little difficult. But come see us at Mi Pueblo in Hernando this coming Saturday night and bring the kids. Always a good time there.

This (mudfest) Weekend

What a weekend schedule we have. Tonight (Saturday) You could see The Living Daylights in two places at once. The rock band is Live at The Boiling Point, show starts at 9:00 p.m. and the jazz band is at a private performance for International Paper starting at 7:30 p.m.
Once again tomorrow night you can see The Living Daylights in two places at once (we’re just good like that). The rock band will be at Huey’s Cordova, show starts at 8:30 p.m. and the jazz band is at another private performance on the majestic Peabody Rooftop. I can’t wait to play there in June with the full band.
I hope you guys have a safe weekend, stay out of the weather if you can, but do it watching live bands somewhere. I’ll post some videos up of this weekend as soon as I can.
Credo Convocation ’10

Show I planned for Credo Inc. in February. The party was in the planning stage for 8 months (didn’t really take that long, we just had a while to plan) and the night we were supposed to load in, the sprinkler system burst in the ballroom and flooded (flood?) it out completely. So at 10:30 the night before the Final Night Party we had to change the venue completely. A little ingenuity on my part and a lot of understanding on the client’s part and everything worked out for the best. The Crew at the Marriott was incredible to work with.
Thanks to Dreama and the crew at Classic Party Rentals, Nolan’s A/V and Angela Mazanti for the beautiful floral arrangements and trees.
Plus, Alan Wyse and Funk De Ville for providing a great night of Music.
