Roadhouse Weekend (Aug. 12 – 13)

So, I’ve come to a strange realization this week. The Missus and I were driving somewhere the other night and I thought: OMG…I’m driving a Ford pick-up truck, Kerry is sitting in the middle next to me, Sebastian is in the backseat with his head out the window, tongue just a’flappin, and I’m wearing a plaid short sleeved shirt and a base ball cap. WTH?!? When did I become a redneck? All I was missing was a “plug of chew”. How do I even know that term? The Missus promised me if I began that nasty habit I would be summarily dismissed for someone with a pocket protector and horn rimmed glasses. Her favorite come-on line is “Talk Nerdy To Me” anyway…  Love you baby.

Also, I’ve been frequenting a new establishment with some great friends. It’s a place called Electric Cowboy. You may have heard of it considering I’ve literally run into everyone and there mother out there. And another little tidbit of info you may not know. Mr. Mike Hill is also an incredible Dance Instructor (mostly couples he isn’t much for line dances). So far, I’ve got the ChaCha and the Cotton-eyed Joe down pat. (Oh, and The Wobble of course). I guess we know why I’m a little more redneck now.

And last on the update this week. While out with some friends I had a gentleman come up to me and say, “I hate to bother you, but my wife sent me over to ask if you were Tim McGraw”

I laughed for a second and told him, “No, I’m actually Tim’s older, fatter brother Ted McGraw and it’s very nice to meet you”. He was so excited he actually ran back across the club  to his wife waving his arms and pointing, quite a commotion anyway. It was great, although I wondered how much they’d had to drink before being blurry enough to see any sort of resemblance…

Hope to see you guys at The Roadhouse this weekend. Our last show there was one of my favorites ever. I don’t know what to attribute it to, but we were rockin’. I’m just sayin’
