The Gazebo overlooking the river became our after-hours spot. We had a singer showcase where EVERYONE sang and somehow it was turned into a dance club including sound system and strobe lights ! (all with Iphones)

Tonight starts a very busy week for some of the TLD crew. Danny and I are playing an acoustic show at Margarita’s in West Memphis. It’s their first attempt at Live entertainment so please come out and have some GREAT mexican food and live music. Tomorrw night you can catch “G” and me at The Fillin’ Station in Southaven for an acoustic show. Friday and Saturday we have private events both nights and Sunday Danny and I are at The Spot in Hernando. Lots of acoustic shows this week. I don’t mind…

Well, I haven’t had my first cup of coffee yet (which is probably apparent by my spelling) so I’m off to start the Mr. up. We’ll see you guys soon!

And, as usual lately, a parting gift. Danny enjoying the hottub at Bigger’s. Which was captioned by my lovely bride as, “What, I didn’t make all those bubbles!”

Had a blast hangin’ out with “G” on “The G-spot” radio show. My running joke of the day was thanking G for finally showing me where the G-spot was and let me play around there for 4 hours. We got a few call ins on that one. (also, had an AMAZING prank call in to Kevin Kilgore. I’d give almost anything for them to have an archive of that show). We alo spent some time talking to our favorite sexy postal carrier. Jessi Faye had to remind us after about 10 minutes on-air that “it’s a federal offense to delay the delivery of mail” So, we let her go rather abruptly. Just in case you haven’t checked it out yet, go to Radio Memphis or download the app for smart phones and Ipads.

Also, for those of you in West Memphis (and I’d be surprised if you haven’t heard about it yet) Margarita’s has decided to start having Live Entertainment. We’ll begin with a laid back acoustic show on Aug. 24 (more than likely turning into an every Wednesday night thing) and then a full band RockFest on Sept. 16. The band will start around 9 but you’ll want to make sure that you get there early enough to eat and find a seat.

This weekend… oh yea, we’ll be chillin’ at Bigger;s Bluff Bed & Breakfast enjoying some much needed adult time and a couple of nights of good acoustic music with Danny Edwards and myself. (Everytime I use the word “myself” I hear…”Allow myself to introduce myself”, it’s horrible what movies can do to your brain)

Also, I’ve been frequenting a new establishment with some great friends. It’s a place called Electric Cowboy. You may have heard of it considering I’ve literally run into everyone and there mother out there. And another little tidbit of info you may not know. Mr. Mike Hill is also an incredible Dance Instructor (mostly couples he isn’t much for line dances). So far, I’ve got the ChaCha and the Cotton-eyed Joe down pat. (Oh, and The Wobble of course). I guess we know why I’m a little more redneck now.

And last on the update this week. While out with some friends I had a gentleman come up to me and say, “I hate to bother you, but my wife sent me over to ask if you were Tim McGraw”

I laughed for a second and told him, “No, I’m actually Tim’s older, fatter brother Ted McGraw and it’s very nice to meet you”. He was so excited he actually ran back across the club  to his wife waving his arms and pointing, quite a commotion anyway. It was great, although I wondered how much they’d had to drink before being blurry enough to see any sort of resemblance…

Hope to see you guys at The Roadhouse this weekend. Our last show there was one of my favorites ever. I don’t know what to attribute it to, but we were rockin’. I’m just sayin’

What is up folks?!? Well, I finally got this stupid, incredibly over-priced, POS computer fixed. Thanks to Mr. Mike Hill for finally fixing this thing. If you need any work done he is your man!

August is a departure from our regular months, its a little light and includes a ton of private shows. Which means your opportunities to get out and party with us are slim.

But, I’m most excited about heading to Bigger’s Bluff Bed and Breakfast for an all acoustic weekend. We’ve almost got it all booked up for the weekend too. Lots of friends heading that way with is. I think there may even be a few friends that will be camping near by and coming to the shows.

Also, we are looking to try out some new venues, so if there’s a place that you frequent often let them know about us. We’d appreciate it.

So this weekend is full of fun (and a little sadness).
Friday night we are celebrating a great friend’s birthday (Rhonda K) at The Fillin Station. She’s turning 28 and “we be reminin’ her of them facts mos of da evenin’”. Lots of new tunes and lots of great people at that show. So come on out…

Now comes the slightly sad part. Saturday Night is the Going Away party for Mr. Danny Edwards. His “day job” is taking him away from us for 6 weeks. It shall be our task Saturday Night to remind him of what he’ll be missing while he’s gone. Did I mention that he’ll be playing with TLD that night, so let’s send him off in style and buy him rounds until he falls down. I’d like for him to have a hangover on his drive out-of-town. And where, you may ask, can you find this Night of Debauchery? At The Boiling Point of course, home of the best seafood and some of the sexiest wait staff. Notice I didn’t say waitresses ladies cause they say those bartenders are HOT!

I hope everyone had a great week last week. We’re rested up from the weekend off and are looking forward to getting back to our normal routine. I heard of few of our loyal fans made use of their weekend off by heading over to NashVegas to tear-it-up and catch Kid Rock in concert. I have a feeling Jen and the girls left that place a little worse for wear. J/K :^)

Tonight (wed. the 23rd) you can catch us The Crossing Bar & Grill for a rare acoustic performance. I think you’ll see more of these as the weather gets nicer. Friday night we’re off (fluke) and I’m sure we’ll be out somewhere supporting our favorite local bands, and Saturday Night you can catch us at Big League Grill for some sports, beer and RAWK! Oh, and Irish Car Bombs.

Don’t forget that on Fat Tuesday you can catch us at The Boiling Point for their Mardi Gras Party too!
