About the Band

THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS is a Memphis-based cover band who covers all the bases. Everything you want to hear in almost every genre. It consists of a hand-picked group of musicians who are all veterans of the music scene in one fashion of another. We’re available to play Wedding Receptions, Corporate Events, Birthday Parties, Fundraisers, Street Parties, Proms, Casinos, Clubs, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, backyards and flatbed tractor trailers.

DONNIE SMITH vocals / guitar / key

Donnie picked up the guitar at the early age of 6 and hasn’t put it down since. He began playing on stage before he was old enough to get in the club’s front door. His studio session call list is too long to list but you can hear his work in almost any genre. His love of all styles of music is made very apparent through the band’s diverse song list. He also teaches guitar, bass, and drums.

JORDAN GARRISON bass / vocals

Jordan has performed professionally since the age of six. He is a very versatile and well-rounded bassist with deep roots in blues, rock and funk… Bringing a groove to music that is all his own and styles ranging from country to 80’s rock to blues and funk. Jordan has played with bands such as Mosley and Johnson, Twin Soul, Dani McCullough, Crazy and the Crutch, Trigger Proof, and currently rocks the stage with Memphis’ own super group The Living Daylights. Jordan is a music lover that not only plays, but also offers drum, bass, and guitar lessons.

KEVIN KILGORE vocals / keys / electric and acoustic guitar

Multi-Instrumentalist Kevin Kilgore is a 20-year veteran of the Memphis Music scene. Kevin’s eclectic interests and influences allow him to move comfortably among myriad musical styles. This Mississippi native is also a songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist in the Americana band Tucson Simpson.

DAVE KROPF drums / vibes / harmonica

Dave is a versatile and well-rounded percussionist/clinician. He has performed and taught around the U.S. and Europe. His musicianship on drums, vibraphone, and harmonica has placed him on the first call list for projects including work with: Consuming Worship, Lillenas Publishing, Ardent Studios, Lausanne Collegiate School, VISIBLE Media Group, and many others. He is a member of the jazz combo, The Teacher’s Lounge, and performs regularly with the popular Memphis band, The Living Daylights.

Dave holds a Masters of Music degree (jazz and studio music) from the University of Memphis and is the Music Dept. Chair and Percussion Division Head at VISIBLE SCHOOL – Music and Worship Arts College in Memphis, TN. (www.visibleschool.com)

    I just wanted to tell you guys that you are awesome! You really know how to get the crowd up and on their feet singing along (sometimes louder) than the band.. Everyone should take the opportunity to check out play dates and GET UP AND GO SEE THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS BAND ROCK!!! You are missing out if you don’t take advantage of great music, great guys and a great time!!!

    Hello – I must say, I’m impressed with your site. I had no trouble navigating through all the tabs and information was very easy to access. I found what I wanted in no time at all. Pretty awesome. Would appreciate it if you add forums or something, it would be a perfect way for your clients to interact. Great job

    I have listened to alot of bands in the mid south and just wanted to tell yall that yall where the best band ive ever seen in the mid-south… I watched yall at the boiling point sat nite and had the best time!!!!!!!!! yall r great and cant wait to come see yall again!!!

    i have been watching/listening to you guys for two years now and i am extremely impressed by your progress. the shows get better and better with each show. i am also impressed by the diversity. your song list seems to get longer and more diverse with each passing month. you play a little bit of everything and you play it well, not to mention you guys REALLY know how to play to a crowd and get everyone pumped up and involved. keep up the great work fellas!!! can’t wait til i can catch the next the show!
